Ian, who only started tentatively taking his first steps in January, is now a running, hopping, screaming, body-slamming terror. His favorite phrases are "Ian 自己來!" ("I'll do it myself!") and "Ian 看看!" ("I want to see!")
Zoe turned 4 in July. Ian turned 2 in October.
They grow up too fast! Zoe has left her Terrible Twos behind, and is now surprisingly sweet and thoughtful (sometimes). She is super into princesses (despite our best efforts), and loves dancing and reading.
They are now best buds!
They frequently run off together, laughing, fighting, crying... Life is never boring with these two around.
They started collecting medals!
Participation is its own reward. And also the medals, those are rewards too.
We went to New Zealand in April!
Just the North Island this time... Chung was a little apprehensive about taking the kids abroad, but they did great and had so much fun! Zoe still talks about it fondly all the time. We saw some beautiful beaches and hot springs, ventured into dark caves to look for glow worms, ate everything in pot-pie form, and caught glimpses of kiwi birds!
And also to Las Vegas in September!
We went for an optometry conference... It was not a great place for kids 😕 It was 100 degrees outdoors and filled with cigarette smoke indoors. People kept ushering us off the casino floors. But the Valley of Fire State Park nearby was pretty awesome!
As for Chung and Mel... Nothing ever happens and they have not changed a bit!
